Why is it that every time we get a letter through the door it is a bil

Why is it that every time we get a letter through the door it is a bill! Everybody wants money for something, yet I cant seem to find the cash to pay for my food shopping at the moment.

This week, I have to find the cheapest motor trade insurance possible. I also have to do a food shop as cheap as possible as I have exactly £23.00 in my bank account. My weekly wages have been reduced due to hours being cut, yet all of these companies keep charging you more and more to get your insurance. the cost of living seems to have gone up, yet my income has gone down.

So I set about finding the cheapest motor trade insurance by opening the Yellow Pages. Start at A and ring every free phone number possible. It seems long winded and I know I could use the Internet but I like to talk to somebody on the other end of a phone.

I have my renewal price so start with that and see what deals I can get. I write every price and company name down and keep on going. Trying to find the cheapest motor trade insurance is definately a time consuming job but when needs must you just have to plod along.

Going through the book, I do get the quotes to come down slowly and people seem to be desperate for the business. I eventually settle on one who will give me my first month for free so I don't have to start paying for six weeks which gives me a little bit of time to raise the cash to pay the installments.

There is something quite satisfying about saving money, especially when you have done something to save money, not just accepted what the insurance company tells you and I feel strangely happy even though I have no money.

Telling my husband about the cheapest motor trade insurance deal I had just settled on was quite satisfying. He had told me that morning not to bother trying to find it cheaper as I would never find a company to go lower than the quote we already had but I had not only gone lower I had saved £236.00 per year. That's quite a big saving when you have very little spare cash and it just means we can live a little more comfortably than we could last week. That is, until the next bill comes in.
